Clinelle Skin Smoothing Scrub VS H2O Plus Aqualibrium Sea Mineral Scrub

Looking for a face scrub which scrub and mask at the same time?

Clinelle Skin Smoothing Scrub is a dual-function scrub which exfoliates and acts as a mask at the same time. Sounds great for those who wish to pamper your skin after a long day in a shortest time before jumping onto the bed.

It is dermatologist tested and having 6 claims that,

1) No artificial coloring (yup, it is in white)
2) No artificial fragrance (yea, not having any strong smell yet not really refreshing for me)
3) No comedogenic ingredients
4) No lanolin
5) No mineral oil
6) No SD-alcohol

And it stated that frequent using of Clinelle Skin Smooothing Scrub help prevent clogged pores, blackheads and breakouts.
It is suitable for all skin types.

Direction of use : Just squeeze sufficient amount onto damp hands and gently massage in circular motions on cleansed face and neck. Then leave on for 5-10 minutes which is the part of mask functioning, and rinse thoroughly with water.

Pros:
  • The particle is fine.
  • You scrub and mask at the same time, which save your time as well as save your pocket.

Cons:
  • I dont like the smell. Maybe it's fine for you but it smells like plastic to me.
  • Don't really see the effects which claims. (However I just used for once ya)
  • I experienced breakouts after using. T.T
  • Scrub and mask effect aren't strong, too mild for me. Perhaps it is the reason why it it suitable for all skin type even sensitive and acne skin. (fyi I have combination skin)

Luckily this is just a free gift for me, haha.

Afterall, I'm still loving my current face scrub from H2O plus, Aqualibrium Sea Mineral Scrub.

This is H2O plus Aqualibrium Sea Mineral Scrub. Retailing at RM 99.00. If there is no H2O Plus retail store nearby your area, just purchase it online from H2O plus official website ;)

Though the particle is larger, they never give me any breakout after using it. And I can definitely feel the smoothness, cleanliness and very refreshing after every use.

When it comes to scrub, I personally love larger particle maybe because it gives me the sense of reality that yea-they-are-working when I massage in circular movements (aren't you?) :-P

Ohya, not to mention, when you wash away the scrub with damp hands, there is actually bubbles coming out as if doing the part of job as a cleanser, just like giving you a double cleansing. In addition the smell is good and comfortable.

Moreover, the absorption of mask is definitely doubled up after having H2O plus Aqualibrium Sea Mineral Scrub over your face. I strongly recommend you to pair this up with H2O plus Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask. Though your skin will be tingling during application and sticky after applying the mask, but bear with me. You will love your skin in the next morning. Trust Me!

Okiess thats all from me. Lets doing scrub and applying mask together tonight. Hehee! Night night.

Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation

I have never lay my hand on any powder type foundation. All the while I use liquid & cream type foundation or BB cream. But this Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation is actually kind of impressive !

This is the sample I have got from a beauty box. It comes with a sponge.

It is made in Japan., with SPF20 PA++

Well the reason I don’t use powdery type foundation is that I don’t like my make up to be cakey. And I always feel that my make up would be heavy and thick which getting my looking older than my age, most of all could not achieve natural skin  radiant by using powder foundation (are you one of the kind too? hehe).

BUT NOW ONLY I KNEW I WAS SO WRONG!!!

This foundation is actually light, very light to your skin. The powder particle is very fine and it attached  to the skin as if absorb into your skin which makes your makeup look so natural. And one thing good about it is that your skin is lovely to be touched / kissed (by your boyfie haha) unlike cream type/ liquid type foundation which is sticky to the touch. Even though the powder is light and fine, the coverage scores above average. Your skin looks flawless with just putting on this foundation without much concealer( I can camouflage my dark spot, pimple scars on my cheeks, and pores as well). Other than that, this foundation is actually giving great radiant to your skin. It would be a on- the- go foundation which suits you best if you like natural foundation.

And the sponge is actually a very helpful tool I learnt today. I think it aids a lot in giving the natural, balanced tone, above average coverage effect. Because sometimes I found my skin tone to be patchy and unbalanced when I was in a rush putting on liquid foundation with hands. But when I apply the same liquid foundation with sponge, the skin tone is actually balanced and coverage is up up.

So here's a picture of me after using this foundation for up to 6 hours.

I used Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation Y002, and yeah prep on with primer.

Just to show you the texture of  Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation. On my hand (bottom part of picture), before and after applying it.

My undereye dark circles are still can be seen. But well Im quite satisfied with this foundation as I didnt put on any concealer under my eyes yet they arent that bad if you were comparing it to my bare face. And on some other day, I actually did put on my concealer before patting this foundation undereye. And it gives amazing & satisfying coverage with natural effect !

And now believe or not, I'm considering to purchase Lunasol Skin Fusing powder foundation (as soon as I fnished my current foundation)! Hehehee

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-usage dry oil

There is this 10ml of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse coming along with The Lilac Box Box 2.

It is a multi-usage dry oil (Well many might get a little shock by looking at the name of it. No no, it is not a type of oil which formulated to make your skin dry babe. hehe). I have tried it on on my hair, face and body. So today I'm going to share with you my experience in using it.

I believe that this brand is still new to quite many of you in Malaysia, at least it's totally new to me. Nuxe is a brand from Paris established on 1989. This is the star product of Nuxe which is unique with combination of 30% precious plant oils (Macademia, Hazelnut, Borrage, Sweet Almond, Camelia and St. John's Wort) and Vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften your face, body and hair in a single bottle.

Which means that with this oil, you can throw away your body lotion, moisturizer and hair oil. Woowww, sounds cool !

I have google-ed on the direction of use before applying it on my hair. It is recommended to use on damp hair. But after testing it on damp hair and half blow dry hair, I found out that you can get maximum effect only if u use it on half blow dry hair. It was totally a bad hair day if you apply on your hair when it is still wet then only blow dry it. Your hair will look as if wet and greasy the whole day until your next wash. Just imagine when you saw somebody with no-washing-5-days hair. That's the look of it ! I have experienced the same thing before when I use Keratase Elixir Ultime, on wet hair too. So please remember never ever use hair oil on wet hair ya babes.

Back to the effect of Nuxe multi-usage oil, yessss it makes my hair super soft and supple like what it describes. And the smell of it is super good ! I love the scent so much it is a light peace flower scent. I'm not sure about the ingredients of it but it smells like lotus very much. If you love lotus scent then you will love this oil :) I just cant help to touch my hair after applying the oil. (You know what I mean when you have super soft hair after hair treatment from saloon) *wink

Apart from trying on hair, I tried it on my face and body, particular on my legs too last night. But I dont really see any dramatic effect like what it did onto my hair. I admit that it does make my face softer though I cant feel moisturised (maybe it does but I cant feel it only, ahah). The pimples on my forehead actually fading after using it for a night, but I'm not sure whether it is the effect from using the oil or my routine face cleaning (you may share with me your experience of using it if you found it effective, hehe).

Whereas for the legs part, I dont feel anything improving yet. It's well commendable from the other users from what I see through the reviews and feedbacks of product. I will continue to use it and update with you girls soon if it's good :)

Ohya not to forget on the texture and price of the oil. Regarding this, I would love to compare it with Keratse Elixir Ultime.

If comparing Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-usage dry oil to Keratase Elixir Ultime, Nuxe is actually less concentrate than Keratase. So if you found Keratase a little heavy(too greasy) for you, you might love this one. But on the other hand, you might finish up Nuxe in a faster way as it is more watery. So pros and cons, up to you babe. While for the price, Nuxe is retailing at Rm148 for 100ml. Whereas Keratase is retailing at Rm138 for 125ml. Without calculation needed, you knew which one is cheaper. Ohya one more thing, if you are putting on more concern on the scent of the oil, dont ever consider Keratase because their oil have weird strong smell which my sister and I kind of resist.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-usage dry oil can be purchased from Sasa Malaysia. It is retailed at size of 50ml and 100ml. Try to get a 100ml bottle as the 50ml doesnt come with a spray. Spray makes work easier because without it you have to very be careful when pouring the oil onto your palm as the opening of the bottle is quite large( like a 10cent coin).  They are having the promotion now. Go to your nearby Sasa Shop to explore more about the miracle of this oil.

Overall Rating : ****
Price: *** (kinda expensive hor)
Effect:***** (love it so much on my hair!, perfect cashmere touch & comfortable scent to sleep in with)
Purchase : Ermmmm, maybe. But definitely a yes if the price is lower/ on promotion :D

Thank you for reading baybeh.

Have a good hair day! xoxo

Arriving of The Lilac Box

I was so excited about The Lilac Box since I saw a friend of mine posted in facebook early last February. It was a beauty box with valentine theme and the content of her box is just so tempting! With only RM35 you are able to get Box 1 with Keratase shampoo and conditioner, Decleor travel size skincare, Burberry beauty glow foundation sample, and a branded lotion(well I'm not sure about the brand of the lotion). Moreover she received the box just in time before Valentine's Day. How sweet was that! <3 At the moment I saw her fb post I was like Ahhhhhhhhhhhh~~ I want to buy!!!!!

From that on I have had an unnoticeable habit which is to view into The Lilac Box fb page as well as their homepage as long as I'm holding my phone surfing the net. Haha. Because I don't wanna miss a chance to grab a box from them.

And The Lilac Box is actually not a monthly box like other beauty boxes which available in Malaysia. So there is no subscription on February. I wait and keep on waiting, keep on stalking. Finally they open for subscription on middle of March! And ofcourse I have grab mine at once though the price is actually higher than expected, which is increased to Rm49.90. They sent out the box by the end of March a week after the subscription is closed. And on the first day of April The Lilac Box reached my doorstep (Happy dosage to the max!)

There is a caution sticker at the bag of Courier Packaging Plastic. ( Well I dont see this in Wonderbox :P )

And I keep the box until I finish my work at 5. I love the feeling of unwrapping any box or gift. Hehe.
And Ta Darrrr~~~

Long awaited The Lilac Box with lovely purple ribbon

But I was so upset when I see this on the box

Liquid stain mark! T.T

I can smell something strong and nice when unwrapping the box. I know it must be the pleasant scent from the beauty products inside( even can't wait to reveal!) But at the same time I feel fishy because I have saw there are reports of spillage from other subscribers who received on Saturday. I pray so so hard finger-crossed i'm not one of the unlucky. But OH NO~~~~~ T.T

In second I quickly try my best to remove the cream which sticks onto the bottles. It was really disgusting. All over the box, the papers the bottles were filled with green color creamy texture liquid. I have no idea on the root of spillage but just keep on cleaning n rubbing with tissue paper. My fingers and hands as well as the  working table were all stained with the green color liquid. ;( I think I have used more than half of the toilet roll just to roughly save the bottles up. It was nothing fun in revealing the box :(

This is the view of The Lilac box after I have cleaning all the bottles and keep them aside. Sorry babes I was totally in a mess and don't remember to take a picture of it after noticing the liquid stain mark on the box. Fyi, the whole bottle of 145ml Redken shampoo was spilt, not to mention another Nuxe make-up remover gel was spilt too (cant imagine how terrible was it @.@)

But dont worry, I have reported this issue to The Lilac Box. I can see they are very sincere in apologizing. But well till now they only rebate me with 30 points. Anyway I hope they can really compensate us the subscribers so as to gain back their reputation and win our faith as we have fairly paid for the box like other subscribers but what we got is only something like this ;(  Hopefully they will come out with a great solution tonight as promised. (Canihaveanotherlilacboxplease) Hehe.

Anyway, now lets have a look what we have in The Lilac Box 2 ;)

(Clockwise) Redken intraforce for color-treated thinning hair shampoo and toner (145ml each),
Lunasol
creamy make up base (few mg),
Nuxe  Huile Prodigieuse Multi-usage dry oil (10ml),
Nuxe face cleaning and make-up removing gel (15ml), Calvin Klein (EDT & EDP) Beauty and Sheer beauty (10ml each), Lunasol Skin fusing powder foundation (0.6g).

I will try out each of them and blog about it. Stay tune babes <3
